What I love: Ashely Judd speaks out about women image in media

So after reading article Ashely Judd article which can be read here I had to applaud her for telling off the media for once. As women I am sick and tried of being told I am too fat or skinny. I am so sick of my worth being based on my looks. Frankly, I think we all our. When I decide to lose weight it was due to my feelings of wanting to be healthier and one else. I did it for me and no any else. my husband insists I look exactly like the day I meet him and I do in spirt.

Me a year ago

                                                         Me about a year ago

I happily agree with Ashely Judd that we all need to get little angry at the attack on her because it is not just attack on her personal ,but every women. We are viscously pitted against each other and instead of standing together we tear each other part. We have all had the "puffy face" moment when people start whispering about how we look and it is time to say no more. It is not acceptable anymore and let this be a start of discussion.

Our House : Part 1 living room and Entry

As most of you know I moved into a condo around Thanksgiving and I have not really showed some details of our new house. It is a long process figuring out where things go in a new space. We have unpacked all of our things, but I have not gotten everything where I want it yet. So here are some pictures of our living room and kitchen rooms . I will share other details in the coming weeks.

I put all of my favorite buttons in vase and that become focal point of our table. the place-mates were given to me by my mother in-law from IKea.

On our book case I made each shelf a different theme this shelf is Disneyland our favorite place we go for our Anniversary every year.

This is the first shelf in the bookcase and it is all of our wedding stuff including our wedding book, photos , our cake topper of us and a plate with invitation wording given by my Aunt Alix.

Entry Way always ends up with a lot of stuff so I put a lot of containers  to put things. The potted tree is from our wedding center pieces.

My Crazy Collection : My husband video games

When I meet my husband I know he loved video games, but I had no idea he collected them and their boxes. To my dismay he refused to even think about getting rid of any of them. However, happily use his video game obsession to allow me to feed my cloths obsession so it all works out.

Here is our interview:
Molly: Why did you start to collection video games?
John: I always liked playing video games and I enjoy seeing the older games compared to the new games. It is amazing how much technology has changed over the years. I love playing the old games.
Molly: How many Video games do you have?
John: I have 356 all together.  Including PC , WII, Game Boy, and Playsation.
Molly: What is your favorite?
John: I like the Diablo series
Molly: What is rarest game you own?
John: HellFire an expansion of Diablio

Handmade Tuesday: Handmade Zebra Tray

I am going to be honest rarely do I craft and think wow that is awesome when I am done. Maybe it’s my perfectionism or that it is hard to look past your own mistakes. Saying that I was truly blown away by the results of this craft.

As long as I can remember I have been in love with trays and my favorite is this Lucite one. So after I found this tray my crafting gears in my head started turning. Here is what you will need all  can be purchased at Michael's or any regular craft store :
  • Your choice of a tray ( not at Michael's)
  • Paint: I use Maratha Stewart’s High Gloss Acrylic Craft Paint
  • Mod Podge
  • Scrapbook paper
  •  2 Paint brush / sponge
  • Paper cutter

Paint your tray with your choice of color let it dry. Cut your paper to fit inside the tray. After the paint is dry add coat of Mod Podge to paper and firmly press it into the bottom . Make sure you get all the bubbles out of paper. Let it dry. Then fallow directions on Mod Podge jar for built-up finish on the top of zebra paper. Leaving at least five minutes between each coats. Let dry fully before using. Pretty awesome for thinking on the fly if I do say so myself.

Family Destination wall :Part 1 postcards

I have a love for all things vintage and when I travel I like to find souvenirs that are cheap and unique. So walking through stores racking my brain something brilliant hit me postcards. Yes, postcards there are thousands wherever you go. I like the ones that are reproductions of vintage cards. Most of the cards are less then dollar.

I didn’t know what to do with them, but an idea hit me something very simple. I went to Michael’s they had sale on frames and the options are great. I bought plain black frames $3.00 each plus 30% off whole purchase. I then put poster cards in the frames. I will be making a family destination wall later and the postcards are going to be a prefect part of it. The total cost per-card with frame less then five dollars. Next week I will be doing second part of project single family destination scrapbook pages. Stay tuned.
